I know that the above statement is pretty general and broad, but the fact of the matter is… those that have experience and success implementing their own search engine optimization strategies probably wouldn’t be searching for information about ways and reasons to outsource SEO services to a vendor. Please keep in mind that I’m not saying this as if it’s a bad thing, it’s actually a great thing that you’re both reading this and looking for expert help and services.

This means that you’re likely one of the few business owners out there that has a general idea of how important search engine optimization is these days or you’re looking to find out if it’s something you should be investing in. Whatever the situation is with you, the purpose of this article is to emphasize 3 reasons why you should outsource your SEO needs to an expert; unless you’re one of the few that are interested in learning SEO so you can implement it on your own website. If that’s the case, we encourage you to continue on that path all while reminding you that it’s going to be an adventure that takes time and practice… but it’s DEFINITELY worth the effort.

So… why should you act now and outsource SEO services to an expert?

1) Only Experienced SEO Professionals Can Provide Guaranteed Results

Take it from one of the few people in this industry that is done SEO full time since 2003… if a vendor or SEO “expert” says that they cannot provide guarantees when it comes to SEO, then they’ve still have a lot to learn about this aspect of digital marketing. I understand that many vendors and SEO companies do not want to offer gurantees about search engine optimization results to their clients since no one can really control what a given search engine does with their organic listings.

However, those of us that have spent more than 30,000 hours (40hrs a week x 52 weeks x 13 years = 33,3800 hours… LOL) creating, implementing, and succeeding with SEO strategies know and agree with this point, but we also know exactly how to “influence” the search engines in a way to help the website(s) we’re targeting rank higher. In fact, all of the major search engines at this point in time clearly and openly explain what it takes to rank well in their given search engine; the problem vendors have is that they have to make sure the price you pay them is enough for them to take that course of action. If not, they can’t provide guarantees but they can do business with you, take your marketing budget/investment, and try to come up with a way for you to generate an ROI… sometimes.

It might be illustrated this way…

Suppose you have a car that has 200 horse power, but you want it to be one of the fastest cars in your general area. It’s a known fact that in your area, the 3 people with the fastest cars have all explained that their vehicles have more than 350hp. At that point, you know that you need to make some major upgrades to your vehicle to come close, as well as get additional upgrades to ensure your car can handle that much power safely and efficiently. However, to make those upgrades it may cost you a total of $18,000 – $20,000. If you’re available budget is only $9,000… a mechanic can tell you that he will make your car faster, and tell you exactly what he will do… but he can’t promise you that your car will be as fast as the other cars due to you not having enough money; but it will be faster.

Search engine optimization is very similar, yet the difference is… there are very few vendors out there that actually know how to take the budget you have and make it create trackable and revenue producing results; and even fewer of them know how to help a business who has the budget to ensure their company website is consistently the highest ranked (or fastest) in their industry (or region… referring back to the car example).

The point is, if you decide to outsource your SEO needs to a true expert, you can get guaranteed results; I guess the above was just a long way of making that point.

2) Although SEO Has Never Been Difficult… It’s Tedious & REQUIRES Time

Something else that only a truely experienced SEO vendor will tell you, “search engine optimization is not difficult.” Yet, time and time again we see “thought leaders” and self professed “experts” refer to SEO being difficult due to how competitive it is or how often search engines make algorythmic updates; LOL… all I can do is laugh.

The fact is, this type of digital marketing is quite tedious, and it takes a considerable amount of time. That does not mean, however, that it requires that you blindly invest in an SEO strategy for 6 months before you see any positive movement. Depending on your budget, goals, and the SEO vendor you chooes to work with… in just about EVERY industry, there is always a way to create and implement an organic SEO plan that will ensure traction is made; in many cases this can be done in as little as 1 month.

With that said, if you’re trying to decide whether or not you should outsource this aspect of your marketing… unless you have the experience, time, and willingness to pursue the tedious aspects of SEO… I HIGHLY recommend you outsource this need to an expert.

3) Investing In Search Engine Optimization Can Ensure You Reach All Your Revenue Goals (Within Reason, LOL)

Countless studies have shown that SEO surpases and outperforms all other marketing strategies in most, but not all, industries. What that means is, if you’re in an industry that has a market cap of $500 million dollars annually, and much of that industry has your target audience searching online for those services and information, search engine optimization is by far the best way to catch your buyer personas at different stages of the customer journey.

Using this type of digital marketing strategy can help you both set revenue goals for your investment and ensure you create a strategy that can make them a reality.

What’s been mentioned above are just 3 of the most important reasons why you should take seriously the idea of outsourcing search engine optimization to an industry expert. There are other reasons that apply to most industries, and likely others that may apply specifically to your business type. Comments

  1. I think the article makes a good point that the experienced professionals are the only ones that can truly provide real results when it comes to SEO. In addition to providing results, I think there is a lot to be said about the expertise outsourcing can provide a business. If I owned a business, I know I’d rather let a professional handle my SEO instead of haphazardly trying to learn and implement it on my own with zero experience and limited knowledge.

  2. Really it is a nice article about the SEO techniques and the example you have taken to explain the flow is awesome with cars, by this example any one can easily understand the topic…
